Fortinet Strengthens its channel strategy across South East Asia and Hong Kong with the FortiPartner Program

Enhanced Partner Program Aimed at Driving High Value Business for Fortinet's Channel and Accelerating Market Penetration

Fortinet (NASDAQ: FTNT) - a leading network security provider and a worldwide leader of unified threat management (UTM) solutions - today announced that it is strengthening its FortiPartner Program (FPP) across South East Asia and Hong Kong. This selective program, based on three tiers, namely gold, silver and bronze, aims at driving value and commitment for Fortinet's distributors and resellers by focusing on channel profitability, technology leadership and a strong certification program, through the recruitment of Authorized Training Centers in each country. Spanning across eight countries, the FPP program aims to accelerate Fortinet's success in the region.

"As the global leader in the UTM space, Fortinet has been a strong innovator on the market and is now expanding its footprint into the larger IT security space. This move, along with Fortinet's leadership position in Asia Pacific, which was recently recognized by Frost & Sullivan's 2010 network security vendor of the year award, gives us horsepower in enterprise deals," said Andy Woo, Sales Director at Pacific Tech. "By being part of Fortinet's channel program we will benefit from superior technical/sales support and other value added services, which will help us improve our business efficiency and performance."

Enhancements to the FortiPartner Program include:

- Attractive services renewal contracts: Fortinet's annual services renewal model allow Fortinet's partners to take advantage of an easy sales revenue stream and ensure customer satisfaction.

- Superior certification program: mandatory to join the FPP, the Fortinet Certified Network Services Professional (FCNSP) status ensures that partners have acquired, through advanced training, strong technical skills on Fortinet's security solutions. Once the right level of certification is obtained, partners are given free access to troubleshooting training and individual access to phone technical support.

- On-going information:  partners receive a bi-weekly newsletter, have access to Fortinet's partner extranet, which provides a comprehensive range of marketing and sales tools, and to Fortinet's technical knowledge center for technical support.

To launch its FPP program, Fortinet will be rolling out a multiple city channel roadshow from August onwards starting with Kuala Lumpur as the kick-off location. The roadshow aims to update partners on the state of business and showcase the end-to-end security portfolio that the company has started to market since 2009. In addition, partners will also be able to understand more about Fortinet's holistic channel strategy with key programs in the areas of marketing, support, renewal, certification and training.

According to George Chang, regional director for Fortinet Southeast Asia & Hong Kong, "By officially launching the Fortinet Partner Program in the region, we look at selectively attracting and recruiting committed partners to support our aggressive growth plan in the region. The FPP program will make it easier for Fortinet to communicate to its channel and educate our partners on our business and technology value proposition to the end user community. This is an important step to affirm our leadership and allow our partners to benefit from strong margins."
