Enable the Print Job Error Notification on Windows Server 2008

Find out how you can enable (and disable) an audible error notification on print servers.

Print servers can beep to notify users when a remote document fails to print. By default, this feature is turned off because it can be annoying. If you want to activate or disable the notification, go to the Advanced tab of the Print Server Properties dialog and then select or clear the check box labeled Beep On Errors Of Remote Documents.

From the Microsoft Press book Windows Server 2008 Administrator’s Pocket Consultant, Second Edition by William R. Stanek.
