  StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm เกมวางแผน RTS ภาคล่าสุดของบลิซซาร์ดทำยอดขาย ทะลุ 1 ล้านชุดภายใน 2 วัน อย่างไรก็ตามยอดตัวเลขยังน้อยกว่าเกมภาคแรก Wings of Liberty

       บลิซซาร์ด เอนเตอร์เทนเมนต์ ออกมาเปิดเผยว่าเกม "StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm" สามารถทำยอดขายทั่วโลกได้ถึง 1.1 ล้านชุด หลังเปิดวางจำหน่ายได้ 48 ชั่วโมง โดยยอดขายดังกล่าวเป็นการนับรวมทั้งเวอร์ชันเกมกล่องและเกมดิจิตอล อย่างไรก็ตามไม่มีการเปิดเผยจำนวนยอดขายแยกกันของเวอร์ชันกล่องและเวอร์ชันดิจิตอล
       
       ยอดขาย 1.1 ล้านชุดใน 48 ชั่วโมง น้อยกว่าเกมภาคก่อน StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty ที่ทำยอดขายได้ 1.5 ล้านชุดในเวลาเท่ากันหลังจากวางจำหน่ายเมื่อปี 2010
       
       ภาค Heart of the Swarm เป็นภาคเสริมลำดับที่สองของเกมสตาร์คราฟต์ 2 ต่อจากภาคแรกอย่าง Wings of Liberty ด้านภาคเสริมลำดับที่สามจะมีชื่อว่า "Legacy of the Void" ที่เน้นไปที่เผ่า Protoss ขณะนี้อยู่ระหว่างพัฒนา และยังไม่มีการระบุกำหนดวางจำหน่าย
