Status: Part-time or Full-time

General Description: This job involves providing service to customers, preparing ice cream cups, sundaes and milkshakes, fruit juices, smoothies and preparing and selling other food items. It also involves keeping a clean and health-safe store environment, restocking supplies, and other duties as assigned.

Specific Duties:

•   Provide service to customers, including providing information and answering questions.
•   Using approved sanitary methods, prepare and serve ice cream menu items (cones, dishes, sundaes, and milkshakes), cut and weigh fudge, and provide samples of ice cream and fudge.
•   Use cash register to correctly record sales, receive cash, and make counted change.
•   Stock food items and supplies.
•   Clean tables, chairs, windows, and food prep items, wash dishes, sweep and mop floor, and other cleaning as assigned.
•   Other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

•   Must be in and maintain good health, be able to lift 30 lbs. on repeated basis, stand for full shift, and perform bending, reaching, and lifting activities on repeated basis.
•   Must have good language communication skills: verbal, reading, and writing, and must be able to follow verbal instructions and written procedures. Other foreign languages are welcome.
•   Must have basic math skills, be able to operate cash register, accurately handle money and count change.
•   Must have the ability to learn and follow rules of sanitary food and supplies handling and personal sanitation.
•   Must be available for consistent daily work shift scheduling during hours of store operation.
•   Must have reliable method of transportation to work, and reliable and prompt off-work personal contact.
