Title: New iStudio sets targets on executives

Recognising the demand for high executive-level lifestyle devices, iStudio stores are specialising to serve this segment for the first time.

iStudio by Copperwired shareholder Narong Intanate said the company will formally open its fifth branch, in Gaysorn Plaza at Ratchaprasong, next month.

This branch is aimed at executives aged over 40 who are highly interested in digital lifestyle products.

The branch is iStudio's idea to capture the needs of this group and serve Gaysorn's desire to provide its customers with premium digital goods to complement the luxury brands already available there.

The new shop, set over 100 square meters on the second floor, will allow customers to sit for longer and discuss with staff the personalisation of products to fit each user's style and the company will select the precise premium product brand and quality for them. Products include the iPhone 4G and iPad, which will be available in the forth quarter.

Compared to other iStudio shops, which attract mostly younger customers and early adopter users, this new branch looks to be quite unique, especially among Apple's presence in Thailand.

Furthermore, next year iStudio plans to set up an offshoot company to sell second-hand iPhones.

"We see lots of potential in this market due to early adopter users changing devices sooner without waiting for the natural end of its lifecycle when there is a product launch, so this opens a new segment among the increasingly popular use of smart phones in Thailand."
